Where can I find a dentist near me to explain the different types of cosmetic dentistry procedures?

At Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, we are happy to take the time to explain the difference between bonding, contouring, cosmetic fillings, dental implants, dental veneers, dental crowns, dentures, etc.  We understand that it can be difficult to determine what type of procedure is right for you and recommend that you schedule a consultation with our Cranston dentist office to discuss everything in further detail.  After examining your teeth, we can make a comprehensive recommendation.  In the meantime, here is a brief synopsis of some of the procedures we offer.

Bonding: As an emergency dentist, we regularly use bonding as a way to immediately correct a chipped or cracked tooth.  As a family dentist, we have found that this procedure also works well when completing dental restorations for children.  A soft, tooth-colored material is attached to the tooth and shaped until perfect.  It is then hardened into place for a fast and easy restoration.

Contouring:  We are the best dentist in Cranston, RI for contouring teeth.  If your tooth is rough or you have ridges, contouring can be used to smooth it out for an improved appearance.

Cosmetic Fillings:  In our dentist office, we perform root canals on a regular basis, and cosmetic fillings are often used to restore the missing tooth structure.  We also use them after removing the decayed portion of a tooth.  These cosmetic fillings are tooth-colored for a natural looking appearance.

Teeth Whitening:  As an Invisalign® dentist, we regularly use teeth whitening as a way to brighten teeth that have been straightened or are being restored.  Whitening teeth before getting dental crowns, implants, or veneers will ensure that your new smile is bright and beautiful.  We can whiten teeth by eight shades or more for a dramatic impact.

Dental Crowns:  As a CEREC dentist, we can create a cap (dental crowns) for your teeth in one office visit.  These crowns surround your teeth entirely, providing a durable surface for you to bite down and chew.  Simultaneously, the crowns look like natural teeth and can improve their appearance by covering stains, changing their size and shape, and restoring teeth that have been damaged.

Dental Implants:  We provide dental implants in Cranston as a way to permanently replace missing teeth.  In this procedure, a metal post (the implant) is placed under the surface of your gums and secured to your jawbone in order to replace your root system. The bone and metal will fuse together through the process of osseointegration and, once done, a new tooth is attached at the surface of the gums for a natural and durable restoration. The biggest benefit of this procedure comes from the support it provides to the jawbone.
