Straighten Your Teeth With Help From an Invisalign® Dentist This Summer

Invisalign Dentist Summer is an Invisalign® dentist‘s favorite time of year. Come to think of it, most people love summer. Summer is the time when we finally shed those heavy winter coats for bikinis and swimming trunks when the fireplace becomes replaced by a beach bonfire, and when everyone is in high spirits. Families all over the country are planning their vacations, and you can’t drive through a neighborhood without seeing a pool party, barbecue, or family gathering every weekend. As people play or garden in their yard, summer seems to bring out a sense of happiness and people everywhere smile more. People without malocclusion that is.

If you are one of the millions of Americans who has malocclusion, also known as crooked teeth, then the chances are that you do not smile a lot and summer will not change that for you. The good news is that as an Invisalign® dentist, we can start you down the road to correcting this problem. Come visit our office today, and by the end of summer you could already be wearing your Invisalign® aligners, working behind the scenes to make your teeth straight. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, with the family portraits, you will already be seeing results.

Ask us, as your Invisalign® dentist, what makes Invisalign® so much better and we will give you an entire laundry list of reasons why you should choose this treatment option. Since we started talking about summer, we should continue thinking about all of the good food that you can eat and sample this season. With barbecues, picnics, and pool parties galore, you are sure to be sampling a number of different foods at different times. This becomes a challenge with traditional braces. Metal braces have to be treated with kid gloves. There are foods you cannot eat, there are foods you must avoid, and there are foods on the “never look at them again” list. This is because these foods can damage or alter the braces. On the other hand, you can eat whatever you want when straightening your teeth with Invisalign®, and while there are a few restrictions, you will find yourself much freer than with traditional braces. You will be able to partake in all those mouthwatering barbecues and enjoy summer food to the fullest because you are supposed to take your aligners out while you eat.

When you are done eating, clean and brush your teeth, and replace the aligners. This prevents food from getting stuck in your teeth under the aligner. We do not recommend removing the aligners for more than 2 hours in a 24-hour period, but that leaves plenty of time to eat your meal.

As an Invisalign® dentist, we know that your teeth and smile will begin to look better right away after you have begun your treatment.  Since the aligners are clear, you can start to enjoy having a beautiful smile while your teeth are still moving.  This, combined with the ability to eat your favorite foods, makes Invisalign® an ideal solution for summer and all year long.
